  The sensory system in humans is a complex network of organs and receptors that work together to gather information about the world around us. This system allows us to perceive and interpret sensations, such as sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell, which are then processed in the brain to form our perception of the world. The five primary senses in humans are vision, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. The eyes, ears, skin, taste buds, and olfactory receptors are responsible for detecting and processing sensations in these areas, respectively. They contain specialized cells called photoreceptors, which detect light and send signals to the brain, allowing us to see. It involves the breakdown of food into smaller, more easily absorbable molecules that can be used by the body for energy and growth. The process of digestion begins in the mouth and continues through the digestive tract, ending in the small intestine. Understanding how digestion works is key to maintaining good health and preventing digestive problems. The process of digestion begins in the mouth, where food is mechanically broken down by chewing and mixed with saliva. Saliva contains the enzyme amylase, which starts to break down carbohydrates into simpler sugars. The chewed food then travels down the esophagus and into the stomach through a series of muscular contractions known as peristalsis.
