  The human brain is a remarkable organ that is essential for all of our thoughts, feelings, and movements. It is the control center for the nervous system and is made up of a complex network of neurons and supportive cells. Understanding the anatomy of the human brain is important for understanding how it functions and how different parts of the brain are responsible for different aspects of our behavior and mental processes. The human brain is divided into three main parts: the cerebrum, the brainstem, and the cerebellum. STRUCTURE OF BRAIN Cerebrum: The largest and most prominent part of the brain. Divided into two cerebral hemispheres (left and right) connected by the corpus callosum. The outer layer called the cerebral cortex is highly folded, increasing its surface area. Responsible for higher cognitive functions such as perception, attention, memory, language, problem-solving, and decision-making. Divided into four lobes: frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital. Cerebellum: Located at the back of the brain, beneath the cerebrum. Often referred to as the "little brain." Composed of two hemispheres. Primarily responsible for coordinating and fine-tuning motor movements, balance, and posture. Plays a role in motor learning and coordination of voluntary movements.
